Jonathan Sykes was born in Jersey, Channel Islands, in 1996 and was educated at De La Salle College, Jersey.
In 2014, he worked for the Société Jersiaise, the Island’s learned society, in an administrative and research capacity, where he led on efforts to digitise some 12,000 pieces of source material, and in 2015 founded Anthropos.
In 2016, he began reading BA History (Hons) with Royal Holloway, University of London, via correspondence, and in 2017 joined the Ministry of External Relations, Government of Jersey, working first with the Brexit Unit, and second, the Global Markets Directorate.
He is a life member of the Galton Institute, and a member of the Société Jersiaise, and the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland.
He is due to complete his degree in History in early 2019.
